Summary
Two weeks ago, Duke was a Robin, leading a gang of others like him against the rising tide of petty criminals looking to exploit Batman’s absence. That’s recently changed, when the Robins trained by Batman came back to Gotham to get a handle on the situation, with mixed results. The Robins as a gang were scattered, most of them dropping back into civilian life. Duke Thomas isn’t among them.
Nightwing tricked him during their last meeting, using his nervousness around heights against him. He takes to the rooftops to rectify that and, during one of his rooftop runs, comes across a strange girl surrounded in the street.

Summary
She watches him, idly tapping her foot against his. She hums, and asks, “What about magic?”
He frowns, tilting his head, puzzled. “Magic?”
“Say magic is powering something. Same rules?”
He huffs. He thinks magic is amazing—has said as much to her—but he doesn’t like the inconsistency of it. She knows it annoys him. “I think the same rules apply. Eventually, it starts to wear out if there’s enough resistance to it.”
“You sound pretty confident,” MJ says. In the distance, she can hear a piercing alarm. A car alarm, maybe? “What makes you so sure?”
“Because you’re remembering this,” the boy says.

Harry stared at the creature who'd just landed abruptly before him. It was broad and tall - a bit taller than he was - and wearing the strangest costume he had ever seen. Two sharp-looking ears sat on the top of its head, and a prominent jaw housed stubble and a slight frown. It was at this moment that he could properly relate to Hermione’s dismay at Hogwarts’ lack of school exchanges. He'd love it if an Ilvermony student could tell him what exactly he was looking at.

“You okay?” He hears a voice ask, Dick going to lift his head up only to gasp in pain.
“Ooh, not okay, alright,” the voice says, rushing up to him and immediately pressing a hand to his chest. Dick looks up to him and blinks a few times, confusion flooding him as he tries to make sense of who is kneeling above him.
“Jason?” He asks, watching as they tilt their head to the side.
“Is that your name?” The voice asks. “Hi Jason, I’m Spider-Man.”
Or, Dick finds himself in a place where no one knows who he is.
