Summary
Unlike most, this funeral didn’t have a body to bury. There were no bones to be set to rest underneath the earth, so it didn’t really matter if the tombstone was sinking or not. The corpse of the deceased was already long gone, buried years before. Though it had been recently unearthed by a storm, there was nothing more that the swamps of Galloway could do to disturb the resting place of the child that died cold and alone on that autumn night in 1968. Nothing more to worry about.
…That, however, didn’t stop the person whose name was displayed on the stone from worrying.
