Summary
Somehow, for some reason, Anakin slips through time. It's only been a day since he lost his arm, cut from him for his carelessness. It's his shame.

Anakin swayed, and his body leaned, tilting the world until it spun. Something was wrong. So very wrong. Blood smeared the floor, and his face. The walls were streaked with it too. When he had fallen he must’ve-
He tremulously raised a hand, his only hand, and tried to touch Obi-Wan’s face. It was Obi-Wan, it had to be. He knew it, felt it in the Force. This was Obi-Wan. He needed- The halo of light that surrounded Obi-Wan’s head was nearly blinding. He looked like-
“Are you an angel?”
What a foolish question. Of course Obi-Wan was. He was always there when Anakin needed him the most. He was here.

Summary
The Devlin murders lead to a very quiet walk home. So quiet that a little sound breaks through it all and then everything falls apart and then back into place.
Edwin followed the tiny meows until he came across a street drain. Cold sludge trickled through the nearly covered grating, and there, deep in the dark, sat a little glowing star of a white kitten. The grating must have been slowly degrading over time, because a perfect kitten-sized gap in the bars had broken away.
The kitten was damp, its fur pressed with the wetness of the pool it sat in, and its tiny eyes fixed up at the hole calling, calling, calling for mama.
Or: How Edwin loses his bracelet, because he made the Cat King happy.

Summary
They've finally made it home, and they're doing well. The case load had grown with every passing day. It's been a while, but Edwin just can't get the Cat King out of his head.
Meanwhile, across the ocean, the royal subjects of the Cat King watch him pine. Every time he dies, his body goes through something that can only be called a heat. He just- keeps doing it alone, so his subjects, or namely one kitty named Buttons, gets so fed up with his pining that he takes initiative.
“What the fuck is going on-” the Cat King demanded, and he spun around, staring down at the throngs of cats. No one moved a muscle, not until Edwin took a small step forward.
“That would be about us.” He offered as calmly as he could.
Charles had heard the waver, though, tiny and almost unnoticeable to anyone but him, and he raised an eyebrow at Edwin knowingly. Edwin could almost hear his voice in his head as he said really mate, I can see it, but really?
The moment he spoke, the Cat King’s head turned and found him instantaneously. The Cat King smiled, and it was soft, “Edwin.” He breathed.

Summary
It was something that boys did, Polly thought, a little defensively. She knew they did. They hardly seemed to shut up about it. And alright, the mechanics were a little different, but in the process of learning how to fake it convincingly she’d found herself trying out a few things, things she got rather good at, and was not a little put out by the discovery that she couldn’t even snatch five minutes- well, okay, fifteen, if she could get it- to put it to good use. If nothing else, she could use the stress relief.
