Summary
The fire that the diadem met its end in still burns bright blue, flickering. It only seems to grow as well, melting things around it. Hephaestus is alarmed by that, moving towards it so that he can move everything out of the way. As hot as the flame grows, it won’t hurt him.
It acts stranger still, growing further. Just as Hephaestus goes to reach for a bucket of water that he rarely has to touch, the fire starts to draw in on itself, creating a shape. A rather human like one.
The fire returns to normal, and a boy stumbles out of it, his knees buckling.

Jason stared, just as the name clicked in his head.
…This guy was Ulysses?
After sacrificing himself to save Apollo, Meg, and Piper from Caligula, Jason is transported to Ancient Greece, in an alternate universe where demigods are extremely rare due to the sheer difficulty of a successful demigod pregnancy.
The exact location and time period he's been transported to? Smack in the middle of The Odyssey on Odysseus' ship, right before the crew lands on Helios' island. And when Zeus arrives to cast judgement, he comes face-to-face with a demigod, young and mortal and inexplicably, undeniably his.
Jason thinks that Zeus couldn't care less about him.
Unfortunately for him, he's about to be proven very, very wrong.

I was taken aback by the question. “What the—why does that matter!? Didn’t you try to drag me and my best friend into, like, ultra-hell for your son’s master bolt?,” I pointed out, pointing a finger at the, for some reason, now shameful perpetrator of my summer-suffering.
He sputtered. “I thought you were older!,” he explained as if that justified dragging anyone into the screaming pits of Tartarus.
“So you thought you were just sacrificing a freaking midget for your cause or something? Because I don’t know about you, but I do not look like a satyr,” I said, throwing up my hands in the air in exasperation.

Summary
“My gold.” Techno spoke, thousands of voices echoing in his words. Whispering and chattering. His calloused hand reaching up, dragging along the blood that was dripping from Tommy’s neck. Dripping down and burning away in the flames consuming the roots that held him.
The same hand that had fed him and given him shelter, as involuntary as it had been, was gently placed at the back of his skull. Techno’s thumb pulling across the golden earring that now felt like an anchor dragging him below the surface of a pool of magma.
Wearing Techno’s face, the Blood God grinned at him.
Tommy did not regret punching him.
