Something in Izuku snapped, red drowning his vision.
At once, before his opponent could even react, he rushed toward the man and lunged, his spear extended out. With perfect aim, Izuku drove his weapon directly into the man’s remaining eye, then tore it out of his face.
In which the ruthless gladiator Deku is prone to losing all sense when it comes to his king, and King Bakugou is not at all any better at maintaining control when it comes to his prized champion. In more ways than one.

“Why does it have to be him?” Katsuki blurts out, because really, that’s what he wants to know. “Of all of the fucking people in the world, why does it have to be him?”
“I was confused about it at first too,” Kirishima admits. He sits up a little straighter. “I mean, you guys fucking hated each other for the longest time. You couldn’t even be in the same room together without getting into an argument or breaking a table.” He laughs a little. Katsuki doesn’t understand how any of this is funny. “Then one day, you guys came into work and… you smelled like him. Everything calmed down after that. It was like all of that hatred and tension was just your way of trying to process your feelings for one another. Once you guys finally, uh, talked it out, things got better.”
(In which Katsuki Bakugou is attacked and loses all recollection of his relationship with Izuku and has to learn to fall in love with him all over again. Faced with a hero case involving a serial killer and missing omegas, Katsuki needs to learn to put aside his own prejudice and open himself up to truth.)

Katsuki launched himself into the storm with abandon. He knew explicitly well that his battered hand meant life or death for the ball of turquoise lightning falling from angry plum colored clouds.
He tore himself apart trying to get to Izuku that night.
He will continue to tear himself apart for green hair and greener eyes.
In storms, at hospital bedsides, and in love.
Katsuki will go on tearing at his own seams until there is nothing left of him but blood clotted ribbons of pathetic fabric. It's the least he can do.
