Summary
Will lets out a small squawk as Mike’s hand— his very cold, very freezing hand— finds its way around the blankets and under his sweater. “I’m sick, you weirdo,” he says, half-laughing into the side of Mike’s head, “I have a fever.”
“I don’t care,” Mike mumbles, “you’re warm and I’m cold. This is nice.”
“You’re going to get sick,” Will tries, for the umpteenth time, but it’s pointless. Mike Wheeler is stubborn and hardheaded and he never does anything halfway— not even this.
Will gets sick. He's dealing with it. Seriously, Mike- he's fine.

Mike and Will body swap. Season 4 where they're in their hellfire and California eras. Everyone's messy and has feelings.
Bending, feels under the bed. That’s the place. He knows that’s the place Wheeler puts things he both loves, and can’t stand to look at. Fingers bump a shoebox. Will slides it over the carpet, a little zipping noise. Slides open the lid. There’s papers, at first he thinks they’re letters to Jane, and that’ll do, right? That’s important. Feels a little bad, but he’s going to have to read one, to make sure. Make sure it’s good enough?
But they’re not letters to Jane. They’re letters to him.

“Any of it.” Will shrugs, embarrassed. “I don’t know how to ask someone out, or how to act on a date, or how to- kiss, or anything like that.”
“Oh.” Mike’s expression clears, and he grins. “Well, like I said, you’re a catch, so I don’t think you’d need to worry about putting people off or something. And all of that stuff is way easier than it sounds, seriously.”
Will makes a face. “That can’t be true.”
“I’m serious!” Mike says, laughing a little. “Here, we can practice.” He shifts on the bed, arranging his legs beneath him and sitting up a little straighter, running a casual hand through his hair. “Pretend I’m a guy you like.”
Practice makes perfect, especially when the person you're practicing with is your best friend.

Summary
It starts with a Hellfire shirt. Mike doesn't know if it's cursed or blessed because wearing it always makes Will act strangely. Then, it's spiraling into a hope Mike didn't know he could have. Will has never been closer, but Mike still isn't sure he can have what he wants. Or can he?

“You’ll let me do your hair?”
Mike knows this is a bad idea. Knows he’ll be red the whole time and stutter and give himself away, but this is Will. Will with his hands in his hair, so close Mike can stare all he wants. Fantasize about what a kiss might be like. Hidden away in the safety of what should’ve been their bedroom. Maybe he can use today to convince Will it can be.
“Only if you make me look good.”
Will stands with a sweet smile. “Easiest job in the world then.” And then he disappears into the hallway before Mike can even start to stumble in front of him.
