Prequel to ‘Revalations’
“Hey, kid. You ready?” Dennis looks up to the kind man, SSA David Rossi who gives him a kind smile.
“You don’t have to do this.” Dennis says as he avoids eye contact.
“Either you come back with me to Virginia or you stay in foster care. Your choice kid.” Rossi says as he shrugs his shoulders but smiles in accomplishment when Dennis stands up immediately and slings his bag over his shoulder.
David Rossi is a smart man, he’s an FBI agent and has founded a world-renowned unit, the Behavioral Analysis Unit. However, he knows that a lot of people are calling him stupid behind his back for adopting a kid from one of his more gruesome cases.
Or, David Rossi and Dennis Whitaker find their footing after David officially takes in Dennis. Snippets where they go through the ups and downs of their journey.

Summary
The television plays in the background of the emergency department floor, showcasing the ongoing Winter Olympics.
“And here we have the Quad God! Young 27 year old, Dennis Whitaker from Nebraska, USA! And he’s determined to at least make the podium for this season, even a back to back gold!” The announcer yells out as the camera pans to a golden haired boy with blue eyes at the side of the rink.
The staff watches with ease but has their jaws drop when a second later, the camera moves to the two men beside Dennis Whitaker.
The caption read as it flashes on the screen, “Dr. Michael Robinavitch, Dr. Jack Abbot. Emergency Medicine Physician, Dennis Whitaker’s Partners.”
Robby and Jack have always been the perfect couple but lately, the staff has been made aware that they have a 3rd in their relationship who does not work in the hospital. They have been making bets on who this person is, what their jobs are and what age they are.
Or; Robby and Jack have requested for a week off. The staff knows that it’s for their boyfriend but is shocked to see that their boyfriend is actually the upcoming champion for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Summary
Dennis lays in the bed with a stillness so absolute it feels staged. A ventilator breathes for him in measured sighs, the sound too rhythmic to be human. It almost looks like he’s a kid pretending to sleep in the backseat of his parents’ car, hoping to be carried inside by strong paternal arms.
Robby would do anything for that to be the case. Instead, it is sedation that has smoothed away the sharpness from Dennis’s features.
It is a heart attack that has made him so still.
Or,
Dennis Whitaker fails to clear and gets shocked by a defibrillator. He takes it as a punishment for sinful eyes that can't seem to look away from Dr. Robby and decides not to tell anyone. The ER keeps moving, but Dennis's heart doesn't. It terribly, horribly doesn't.
