Summary
Jiaoqiu’s eyes snapped open, but there was nothing there. It was dark.
“Jiaoqiu, you're awake, thank goodness” - a soft voice said to his right. Metal danced together as this woman entered further into his room.
He sniffed the air, incense and rain…..Lingsha….. It has to be.
“It's Lingsha. I’m sorry if I startled you. You can try to talk but I want you to be very careful. Your neck muscles are likely tight after that bite” the healer spoke to him.
"Could you take the bandage off my eyes by the way? It would be nice to see a familiar face.” Jiaoqiu said to Lingsha
“Oh Jiaoqiu, you know the effects of tumbledust. I see it as I feared. There is no blindfold on you. Your eyes are open. You’ve lost your vision. At least for now, there's no telling if it will come back.” He heard Lingsha say.Jiaoqiu felt like he was being dragged underwater.

So here’s an alternate version of the ending of ALW’s Phantom of the Opera, where Christine is the one rowing the boat away from the phantom’s lair.
