Summary
Romance novels have always held a special place in Mirabelle's heart. She may not personally feel any desire to date or...'do things' with anyone, but there's still something so captivating about all the many ways people can fall in love with one another - especially if there's some fantastical horror elements mixed in for flavor. Monsters, unhinged evildoers, enemies to lovers, captive romance, chasing, hunting, catching one's love and never letting them go!
Such things are unrealistic, of course. They'd be horrible if they happened to someone in real life. Not romantic at all! And yet...
Why does she suddenly want so badly to be a part of that story? Why does part of her yearn...to be made helpless?

Summary
Mirabelle only managed to recruit a single Defender in Jouvente after the King took over the House of Change in Dormont. Don't get her wrong, she's happy for Isabeau's help, but after a run in with a sadness it becomes distressingly clear that they need more than just the two of them if they ever hope to save the country.
