Conner sucks in a deep breath, and then lets it go just as quickly, “Oh? That’s – weird.”
Tim cuts him a sharp look, “Is it? Because usually, middle-aged men with conservative opinions on sexuality don’t just assume that their sons are dating their best friends.”
“Well, Clark’s always been progressive for –“ The words on his lips die quickly when the look in Tim’s eyes goes from unimpressed to annoyed. “I told him I have a boyfriend,” Conner says instead, voice soft and shaking his head when Tim still hasn’t stopped staring. “And I just, couldn’t think of anyone but you, Timmy."
"Why would you do that, Kon?"
“Don’t make me say it, Timmy.” Conner is ready to beg before the words are even out of his mouth. “You know why, Tim. There’s no reason to make this worse.”

“Then why is the Joker still alive? Why did he not kill him?” Red Hood, Jason – he had taken his helmet off, he was Jason Todd, was Tim’s Robin, was alive – demanded. “If he actually cared about me, why didn’t he avenge me?” Tim put as much distance as he could between him and Jason as he could, trying to give himself time to talk.
“Just because the Joker’s still alive doesn’t mean they haven’t tried!” Tim yelled. Jason faltered, just for a moment.
“You’re lying,” Jason growled. “If Batman had really tried, then the Joker would be dead.”
“Jason, the Joker doesn’t stay dead.”

Summary
Batman sighs. “Tim is having an… episode. It’s been a few years since this happened last, so no one but Alfred, Dick and myself have been present for one.” An episode? An episode of what? Maybe he’d been allowed to watch TV later. “When he was thirteen, Tim was kidnapped by—“ Batman takes a pause, looking at Tim. “The Joker.” Tim can’t help the burst of giggles that bubbled out of his throat at the mention of his Daddy.
OR Tim wakes up from a nightmare, thrusting his mind into the headspace of a thirteen year old and horribly hurt and traumatized Tim Drake. Previously knows as Joker Junior.
