    Anthony’s concentration broke and he felt the ball clip him on the chin, letting out a yelp of pain and still he wasn’t focused on that. Because Kate Sharma was leaning against the metal fence, watching him curiously. Her dark curly hair was tumbling around her face and she had a sweater draped over her shoulders her sneakers custom printed with her name along the midsole.
    Everyone knew Kate Sharma. Well, knew of her at least. She’d burst onto the scene at 16 and won the Australian Open. Her very first grand slam, right out of the gate. Anthony had already been well past whatever part of his career could ever be called the prime and he remembered watching her play with something jealous in his chest for how sure she was of her talent. He’d slipped to world number 93 by then which he supposed was a damn sight better than where he was now.

    “It’s not a bad idea,” Jordan added. “It would be nice knowing exactly why he was part of the prophesied Seven. I know the Venus girl had sorcery and the Vulcan boy obviously had power over fire. But why Jackson? Just because they took a boat?”

The only differences are the fact that Theo is six years older, covered in battle scars, and the black tattoo on his arm. A trident and the letters SPQR.

    Theo is eighteen, powerful, and unclaimed. And his resemblance to Percy could set a dangerous precedent.
