Summary
Harry was possessive and controlling. Watching and planning Draco's every move. But Draco knew this wasn't the real Harry. This was a Harry poisoned by a darkness that had overpowered anything bright, blissful, and good. Draco hated and loved him.
He knew better than to try and leave again. Running off to the Manor had been a mistake, even if it was in an attempt to find a way to help Harry. Draco's mother paid the ultimate price in front of his very eyes. But Draco had not given up on Harry. There had to be a way to banish the darkness that had consumed him.
Thanks to Hermione's careful planning, Harry's attempt to Obliviate Draco (for him to forget ever wanting to leave Harry and the murder of his mother) had not succeeded, but for Draco to survive he would have to pretend that he did. After months of being hidden away, Draco finally reconnects with Hermione for a final attempt to save the man he loved and the love they once had.
All was not well. But it will be.
