Summary
"I love you," Jonathan blurts.
Argyle smiles, broad and free, and Jonathan's heart skips a beat. He slips his hand from Jonathan's shoulder to the other side, draping his arm across Jonathan's back and pulling Jonathan against his side. "I love you too man. Now tell Argyle what's got that big brain of yours all twisted up."
Jonathan swallows. Because he said it. Now he has to commit to it. He leans further into Argyle and looks at their knees. "That's it. I love you. I realized I'm actually totally in love with you."

Instantly, Jonathan's panic is back. “What do you- I mean I don't...”
Will’s expression flips. Now he's leveling Jonathan with a flat look – unimpressed instead of hurt. “Seriously Jonathan? I caught you making out with Argyle yesterday. You don't have to lie about it,” he says and his eyes shift away for a second. “Especially to me.”

Robin seems to realize that they're talking at each other through her closed window and quickly opens it up to let Steve crawl through. "What's going on?" she demands.
"I kissed Jonathan Byers," Steve says. Honestly he hadn't meant to blurt it at her, but some version of that phrase has been rolling around in his head ever since he did it, so he feels justified in not having it together.
