Summary
Everyone knows that a Mimbulus Mimbletonia is generally non-sentient, despite the odd occasional attempt at world domination. One such attempt occurred in the year 2007. Its ambitions were threatened by the silliest of human allies, largely thanks to an even sillier bet involving Quidditch and motorcycles.
“It’s settled!” announced Potter, absorbing their withering glares with glee. “This is what you both get for disrupting work. If Hermione wins, she gets to decide the fate of Malfoy’s motorcycle. If Malfoy wins, Hermione has to go on an extremely unimpressive date with him involving said motorcycle, and he can do his dastardly best to annoy her to death. Are we agreed?”

“I need a favour,” Harry says on the other end of the phone, and Hermione twines her fingers through the cord. “But you won’t like it.”
Hermione sighs. “What do you need, Harry?” It’s her night off and she just wanted to curl up with Crookshanks and relax, but the telephone had rung twice. Not quite an emergency, but not something to ignore.
“There was a mix-up with the Portkeys. Malfoy got snagged by muggle police and needs someone to bail him out.” There’s a pause – Harry drawing in a breath – and Hermione closes her eyes to brace herself for the inevitable. “Can you – we’re swamped over here – I barely managed to get away to ring you.”

Summary
First, he stretches. Then, he exercises. He eats breakfast, and watches the street he lives on come to life -- the old man and his corgi, the baristas at the coffee shop, the woman who jogs, the daughter and father, and the Indian grocer all making their appearance. Then, he showers, shaves, dresses, and heads to his job as an Auror, where he has been on desk duty ever since he was pulled from the field because of The Incident.
Draco lives his life by his Ministry mandated Mind Healer routines, and he is trying to get back to being Potter's left-hand man, but the cannonball to his careful regimen comes in the form of a very cranky Hermione Granger.
Banter, fluff, eventual smut, an ensemble cast of friends and family and weddings and babies. Told in mostly Draco's POV, but the occasional random one, because who says Draco is the most reliable of narrators?
It’s a character-driven slow burn.
