The words fell jagged into the silence, sharp and splintering. Liam stiffened immediately, his head snapping toward her. His claws flexed against the dirt, eyes blazing hotter. The growl in his chest surged back, feral, alive.Theo’s hand didn’t move. His knuckles still pressed against Liam’s cheek, gentle in their smearing. His lips curved faintly, slow, like he’d been waiting for this exact crack.
“See?” Theo murmured, his voice low, curling. “She doesn’t understand. She’ll never understand.”

When he parted the curtains, Zuko was sitting cross-legged on a cushion with a cup of jasmine tea cradled in his palm. His bare chest framed by the deep maroon of his silk robe. He was less surprised than Aang expected him to be.
Standing up and dropping the porcelain cup to the low table beside him, he said, “Aang, what are you doing? You shouldn’t be here,” it was weak, the hollowness of his conviction echoed loudly. And, it wasn’t even true. Aang had accompanied him for tea many times in his personal chambers, and at much later hours than this. It was the air between them that had changed. The two of them alone together felt fresh with impropriety.

Monroe had returned for a final stand and the pack was ready this time, prepared. Still, Liam and Theo ended up being the bait for Monroe’s backup. Which is fine, because Derek and Argent showed up and yelled for them to get out of there, it was going to blow. However, running while under gun fire isn’t the easiest. It's totally fine though, because they get to Argent and Derek outside of the building before it explodes. Except, Theo’s on the ground for some reason and Liam’s pretty blue eyes are crying and he might just look even prettier when he is sad.
Oh - I’m dying. Theo thought.

“They missed my femoral artery,” Theo says tiredly. If they hadn’t, he would have swallowed his pride and dragged his bleeding ass to Beacon Hills Memorial and looked for Melissa, mother of his former murder victim or not.
“And if they hadn’t,” Deaton says. There’s an obvious ellipsis at the end of his statement—or a question mark, maybe—but his tone is flat and final the way he expresses just about anything.
Theo sighs heavily through his nose. Deaton searches his face for another few seconds and apparently concedes the point just this once to the suicidal teenage ex-spy dripping on his floor.
