Summary
Stede Bonnet is finally free of her dead-end marriage and is ready to start living the life she wants rather than the one that was picked out for her. That life is her seaside cottage with plenty of books and some peace and quiet, at least until her friend Lu barges in and tells her she's living like a grandma and needs to get herself out there. She's divorced, not dead.
But when Stede tries dating apps to find someone who can show her the passion she never got from her husband, no one excites her. There isn't a single man who appeals to her at all, and it makes Stede think about a part of herself she has long since suppressed, and wonders if a man is what she wants at all.
