The boxing tape that normally wrapped around his neck and forearms to cover his scars had been traded out for a high-collared jacket and an embroidered black shirt, left insouciantly open at the throat. His knee-length boots, smartly heeled, added an unnecessary and obnoxious couple of centimeters to his height; he radiated the relaxed confidence of a predator in his own territory.
Lyney disliked him immensely.
