Summary
Tadashi ends up bringing him dinner in the bedroom, testing the office chair’s durability by fitting himself on Kei’s lap. “You could get some inspiration from the internet,” he mumbles, watching the cursor on the screen blinking against a blank document.
“The internet didn’t go through the painful torture of watching the dumbest mating ritual of the animal kingdom,” he grumbles. Tadashi’s chuckle tickles Kei’s neck, a huff of hot breath warming him to his core. If Kageyama and Hinata feel even half of this for each other —and he thinks they do— Kei owes them a nice fucking speech.
After all, he had witnessed their weird courtship from the front row. Who better than him to tell the world about just how much those two idiots were meant for each other?

Their banter is cut off by the clatter of silverware up at the table’s head once more. Bruce taps his glass with a spoon all delicate-like, as if he’s at some soirée or fancy function — instead of ‘round the table with his crime-fighting contingent of vigilantes.
“Another year has gone by,” Bruce says, “and even if only for a short while, our city's crime rate has waned. We owe much to this break, allowing us to come together and celebrate the holiday season.”
The atmosphere feels physically warmer, a change that takes Steph by surprise. She doesn’t mind it though, not really. In a way, it’s almost like she belongs.

Summary
Cass has never felt the need to open a dictionary to find a definition in. If there is a word she needs, she finds another path to saying it but she doesn't hunch over folded paper to decipher lines of words. Or she thinks of something else. She uses words she doesn't need to fight her own brain to get.
But there are also exceptions. There is a specific word she has looked up, because it's a word her mind keeps stopping on. It's also one she keeps on hearing.
She looks it up again and again, and the definition keeps on changing every time she goes to check a new dictionary. She doesn't get it, really.Or: Cass and finding your place home.
