Shane rolls his eyes, secretly relieved that Rozanov isn't making a bigger deal of the gesture than it needs to be. He pulls the bunch of tulips out of the bag and thwacks Rozanov lightly on the shoulder with them.
“You ungrateful asshole,” he says. “You stay here and try to nap. I’m going to get started on the soup.”

Ilya frowned, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion at the statement. “Court? You…” He gestured rapidly at the NHL Commissioner, Roger Crowell, standing in front of the two captains still dressed in their gear from the game that ended just minutes ago. “You need lawyer?”
Before he could even try to stop himself, Shane huffed out loud and felt his fingers pinch the bridge of his nose tightly, closing his eyes in frustration.
“No, Rozanov, it means—never mind.” His eyes opened once more to stare at the tall, intimidating man in front of them. “What would we even do there?”
Crowell only sent a sharp smile back at him.
