"Sailing a boat for an unknown amount of time was bad enough. Using said boat for the sole purpose of going to an uninhabited island and exploring it was another thing."
When Bojan drags Kris along to explore 'Čenveca', an uninhibited island in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, he already hates everything about it from the get-go. Sailing makes him travel sick. The islands just a tad bit too hot. And every few minutes the half-Dutch finds himself captivated by Bojan's form.

Kris had always struggled with anxiety, ever since he could remember. Nonetheless, he powered through secondary school - consistently racing towards the finishing line known as graduation and forming a solid friendship group and subsequent band along the way.
That was until an event forever nicknamed 'the incident' occurred that he soon came to realise that anxiety wasn't the best descriptor for his difficulties.

Summary
Just because Joker Out are all monsters does not make them any less human and subject to things like love, pining and being total idiots.
They also have more monster-specific things like transforming into a wolf at the full moon, losing your arm during your first practice session, breaking the tip of your horn off, getting high off demon blood and possessing people if you want to actually have sex because you do not, in fact, have a body.
None of that even touches on a lust demon and a vampire having a maybe relationship neither knows how to define, a frankenstein monster and a werewolf being hopelessly in love with each other but unable to show it and a ghost who has found his family with them and judges them all.
Welcome to Joker Out and the merry band of monsters who are all a little bit hopeless and all rather horny.
