    He trails off at the feeling of a slight breeze, somehow gently nudging him into the shop proper. Oh, no, it seems to say. I think you know exactly why you came here. Fell’s gaze is piercing, and it suddenly feels as if Havers is being seen for the very first time. Then, Fell’s expression inexplicably softens.

    “On second thought,” Fell says. “Perhaps you had better come in.”
