It had gone from a light joke to a serious conversation about V and his inability to release control, having the compulsive need to have a handle on every situation. In part, it may be because of Silverhand in his head, being a control-freak in his own right, and also because of the spiral of his life at the present moment.
Only naturally, it's landed V in Kerry's basement, wrists chained above his head and a knife against his throat.
“You’re gonna be such a nice toy,” Kerry croons, nosing at the shell of V’s ear.
“Fuckin’— creep,” V grits, voice strangled by the effort it takes to suppress his soft noises of pleasure.
“Now you’re gettin’ it,” he chuckles darkly.

V takes an embarrassingly long time to process the innuendo. Heat quickly rises to his cheeks as soon as the puzzle piece falls into place, stuttering through the wave of embarrassment. Even with the implication, V is rooted to the spot. Staring down shotgun barrels and standing on the receiving end of a grenade’s arc holds nothing in comparison to this.
“I’m not a… a doll. I…”
“Said you needed to be paid to do anything that isn’t robbing and killing.”
