“Tim,” Dick interrupted with a whisper, “out loud. Read the name out loud to me. Please.”
Call it paranoid, but Dick needed to know he wasn’t making this up. That he wasn’t stupidly hallucinating a name that wasn’t actually there.
Tim swallowed, his grip on the card tightening. “Jason Peter Todd-Wayne,” he read, with obvious difficulty. Dick let out a startled laugh as he straightened up. He ran a frantic hand through his hair. “Fuck. Fuck!”
Tim stared at him. “This is… Jason’s old library card,” he pointed out and Dick nodded, perhaps a bit too fast.
Jason loses his old library card while on patrol as the Red Hood. He thinks nothing of it, as Jason Peter Todd-Wayne is legally dead to the world. In hindsight, he should have been worried, because his family are fucking detectives.
Or: How a lost library card ruins all of Jason's big reveal plans; and reconnects him with his brothers somewhere along the way.

His automatic analysis began again: Very small baby--definitely no older than one, absolutely naked which was a literal crime in this drug-needle ridden area of Gotham, pale skin that contrasted with a familiar bowlcut ebony hair that he had only seen in pictures. Pictures that he had only found because they all needed something to make fun of the boy and had chosen to dig through his very own house next door.
Wide ice-blue eyes that blinked up at him intelligently..
Jason’s very own wide green ones blinked down at him stupidly.
And then Timothy Jackson Drake, also known as Red Robin, opened his tiny mouth, and continued to babble nonsense before settling on one word, clapping as he repeated it over and over, shattering Jason’s known reality each time he said it.

Summary
Upon his arrival in Gotham, Jason knew he needed to take down a drug organisation silently killing people on the street. An apartment complex at the outskirts of Crime Alley was the perfect place to do so.
Except there's a strange boy from the room next door who likes to steal his doormat, leave stupid notes on his front door, and eat takeout on his couch uninvited. And is also possibly involved in criminal activity—what’s a rich kid doing alone in Crime Alley running from the drug ring’s henchmen, and how does he have personal contact with half of the Gotham rogues?
It’s all very annoying. Jason doesn’t care about the kid at all, nope, not one bit.

Or how Jason and Tim becoming neighbours again (and eventually roommates) somehow leads to them becoming brothers.
