Shane—Shane was alive. He was alive, and in the best hospital in Montreal, and being monitored by a vigilant team of doctors and nurses. The machines that were attached to him proclaimed his life. There was his heartbeat: 62 beats per minute. His blood oxygen was 99%. There were all sorts of other numbers and charts, none of which alarmed the nurse who had bustled in and then bustled out again. That meant that everything was good—except for the fact that Shane had not woken up yet. That, Ilya knew, was very, very bad.

Summary
Shane knows he shouldn't, and yet he still does, or: every hookup Shane and Ilya should've had between 2011 and 2013. Because TV budgets aren't infinite, but our need for smut between these two is.
They shuck all their clothing off—Shane doesn’t even bother to fold his, he’s too hungry, too impatient—but as he moves to pull Rozanov towards him and into bed, he’s arrested by Rozanov’s grip on his forearm.
He follows the direction of Rozanov’s gaze and finally remembers: the bruise. He hasn’t paid much attention to it. Hasn’t felt it, really, since Rozanov has stepped into the room.
It’s a real beauty, about the size of his palm, and dark purple-blue. Rozanov is staring at it like he’s hypnotized.
“I did that,” he says, half question, half statement.
“Probably,” Shane says.
“No, it was me,” Rozanov says, and this time he sounds absolutely certain. He brushes gentle fingertips over it; Shane shivers.

Summary
In June of 2022, I decided, well hey, I want to try something new. Challenge myself. I thought: let's try and write a short story every day on Twitter, covering as much of the spectrum of queer love as I knew how.
It was meant to push me to write in a way I'm completely unaccustomed to. Short, quick, imperfect. I like to experiment, but the time and format constraints meant I had to do it FAST.
I didn't end up posting every day, but I posted more days than not! 19 out of 30 days saw a story (or part of a story; two of the stories had to be broken up into parts) from me. I didn't cover as many different aspects of queer love as I wanted, but I managed to hit a few of the big ones. This experiment, in short, was a success: I wrote quickly and imperfectly, and learned to let the stories go.
I don't know if I'll do it again, but it was absolutely worth trying just to see what I could accomplish; I hope you find the stories worth reading.

The Metros have promised that they’re behind their franchise star one hundred percent, but there are signs they might be hedging their bets. The Metros announced last week that they have penned a deal with San Francisco’s dynamic young Russian star, center Ilya Rozanov. The move has sent shockwaves through MLH, as San Francisco was widely expected to sign a contract extension with Rozanov, who became a restricted free agent in June.”
