Legolas doesn't respond to his ribbing, instead attempting to take down Gimli with a shout. Two — what either could only assume to be tentacles — come hurling out of the sky and directly at them. The attempt at taking cover was futile; As the suction cups come into contact with them, both lose consciousness.
OR;
Legolas and Gimli get transported to the world of Faerûn. The search to go back to Middle Earth begins, but not without struggle.

The elf stepped into the moonlight, allowing the soft glow to illuminate his features, so achingly beautiful that for a moment Gimli thought maybe he still had a few tears left to cry after all. Legolas moved closer, the wrap of food held out like a truce, and a gentle smile played on his lips.
Gimli threw the axe.
It hit the stony frame of the window, on purpose, yet still close enough to Legolas’ face to seem menacing. “The door was locked for a reason. Only your arrogant ass would think it was an invitation to enter my room from the balcony.”
