Summary
“Jesus,” you breathe.
You just sort of stare at each other for a minute. It’s much less intense than your stare-offs with Karkat — in that you can at least continue to feel the flow of time around you — but there's still an undoubtable tension. The other Dave is openly staring at your lips with hunger. You’ve brought your eyeline back up, but you’ve never been more sure that you look absolutely starved.
You swallow the saliva gathering in your mouth before you answer.
“Okay,” you say. It comes out more like a squeak.
You are Dave Strider and you’ve never kissed another person before. And technically you still haven’t.

Summary
Unable to sleep, she swims instead. Seethes.
It’s this lake that keeps Feferi awake, the spite that poisons it. Spite’s bitter taste stays on her tongue whenever she swallows a mouthful. The same spite keeps her adrift and thrashing against the surface, against the dappled sunlight that dances above her head. For some reason, she can’t breach it.
After awaking at the bottom of her kingdom's lake, Feferi finds herself sad, incensed, and something new entirely. A fairytale inspired by folklore of the rusalka.

It’s an honesty that you only ever get here, in the early hours of the morning, after months of knowing him in this way, the way of private moments tinged with blood.
