Summary

Summary
Todoroki Shouto never thought he would be getting proposed to, in a night of unbelievable joy, it is unexpected when the swelling happiness that threatens to make his heart burst turns into horror as Tenya drops to one knee.
The same heart doing somersaults merely three seconds ago has plummeted to the bottom of his feet and beyond, probably six feet under /buried alongside his brother/. Dread fills his heart and soul, suddenly and fatally enough that he’d think he’s facing All for One again. He cannot hear what Tenya is saying, there in front of him, kneeling like Shouto is something to worship, showing him the world’s most beautiful ring Shouto should be honoured to wear on his finger, but it burns, the buzzing in his ears burn, the love in Tenya’s eyes burn, the finger where the ring would rest burns.

“Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”
Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.
Shit.
Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.
A story told over five acts which leans heavily into the pain of three characters, with Katsuki's anguish being the focal-point. The happy ending and eventual comfort to the hurt exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story will be gut-wrenching to read most of the chapters. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.
Oh, and the title of the fic is in part inspired by the song Scorpio Rising by Soccer Mommy, and also in part by, well, astrology.
