Summary
Jensen wasn't the worst possible choice in the room. Not by a long shot. But he was too honorable for his own good, and stupid for thinking their captors would let them go under any circumstances. They were dead men walking. Pritchard, for one, didn't intend to go out getting pity-fucked by his ex-coworker.
A routine mission becomes anything but when Pritchard's captured by an old, old enemy—one who still hasn't forgiven Pritchard for what happened last time they met. Jensen's determined to rescue him, but trying to save Pritchard might mean sacrificing them both.

Summary
He's perfectly familiar with this room. It's the one he's gotten half his new scars in, and seen tens of people cut open and tortured. It almost seems wrong the room can stay so white and gray, that the metal can shine so brightly — no amount of disinfectant and bleach should be able to clean away what Arkin's seen, but every time he's brought back in, it looks good as new.
Arkin doesn't ask what he has planned, because that only ever encourages him. He just waits, barely testing his restraints just in case something isn't secured tightly enough or something's been forgotten.
Nothing ever is, but he still has to try.
