Summary
‘Dawn’ was the name of a Champion, a young girl who had beaten the odds and come out on top over all the other trainers in the Sinnoh Region, who had been lauded as a battling prodigy on the cusp of a decorated career. It was the name of a starry-eyed child whose life was brimming with opportunity.
Akari was no longer that child.
And yet ‘Champion’ was a title that opened doors which an ordinary trainer would never have the ability to. It was a title that came hand in hand with duty, but one that held no small amount of power – power that could be used to scour the earth for hints of a dragon that most relegated to mere myths and legends.
Dawn is finding her uncle, no matter what name she opts to use. No matter what name he opts to use.

Taking on the role of Gym Leader would mean that he would be able to battle, day in and day out, with his new team. The tempestuous storm that he had only been able to let loose during that battle with Geeta would have countless opportunities to rage free, filling him with that very same heady rush of glee and frenetic action.
It would mean returning to the pursuit that had given him life, yet the same one that had taken it away.
After his journey in Kanto reached its ultimate conclusion, Red's panicked flight from civilisation lands him on a very different mountain. Halfway across the world, where his fame hopefully has yet to spread, he attempts to rebuild.
Blue follows anyway.

There were too many variables, too many factors to consider. How could he leap into battle and still ensure the safety of both Hilda and N, when Ghetsis had so openly stated his malintent?
Then a tightly-contained orb of scorching heat blasted past Zekrom and hit the opposing Bisharp head-on, and he faintly recalled that Alder’s footsteps had been accompanied by another’s.
He recognised the attack in a heartbeat.
N’s formula to change the world involved three key variables. Team Plasma, the Pokémon League Champion, and the Dragon of Ideals, Zekrom.
Ingo, dormant within the Dark Stone, had other plans - and so did his brother.

Her breaths came quicker now. “But that means– all those years ago, I displaced Zekrom with those rifts that I tore in space-time. Heavens, why didn’t you seek me out and rip me apart when you regained your memories?”
Two regions over, half a century before N's coronation, two not-quite-humans run into each other once more. The rain continues to fall.

Aqua only hummed. Then, he froze.
“She– what.”
Akane doesn’t know how the dead doctor is related to either of the Hoshino twins, but from the sound of it, he had been dear to them. Which is why, for all of her intellect, she is taken aback when Aqua reacts with such confusion when she offhandedly mentions Ruby’s reaction upon finding the corpse.
Aqua just wants to know how Ruby knew him in his past life - and what she could have possibly meant to him for her to have had such an extreme reaction to his old body being found.

For a moment, she simply blinks, letting the bodies of the Mitachurl slowly disintegrate as she catches her breath. Now that the battle is over, he peeks his head out between the leaves.
“Miss Keqing,” he asks, as if he hadn’t witnessed the admittedly-violent battle that had just taken place, “do you know where Wangshu Inn is?”
