“Technically,” Greg said lightly, “we’ve never identified the Taskmaster as an Alpha, or Alex as the Assistant as an Omega.”
For the first time, her smile slipped, just slightly. “Then how do you explain series 6, episode 6?”
“I’m afraid you’ll have to remind me.”
“‘I genuinely want to scent you right now’,” she recited in a flat imitation of Alex’s droll tone, before switching to an even worse imitation of his own. “‘Oh, do you? Come on then’.”
Despite himself – despite his usually shit memory – Greg couldn’t help but picture Alex, grinning at him, face flushed, eyes wide as he gave just the hint of a nod before they both leaned in so Alex could nuzzle against Greg’s neck, where one of his most prominent scent glands would be, if he was actually an Alpha.

Summary
