“I —” Max seems to realise what he’s doing, how close he’s gotten as he stops just a few inches away from Oscar. “I cannot control what I worry for.”
Or; Oscar has no intention of falling in love or courting or mating, least of all with the alpha meant to court his sister.

Max looks a little lost, a lot taken back — but not angry? So that’s at least a win.
“Can you please pretend to be my boyfriend?” Oscar blurts out.
