He actually wants to watch the Fellowship of the Ring, has actually been waiting for this for uhhhh, what, like, twenty years of his life? Problem is, there’s another thing he’s been waiting for for almost as long, and it’s sitting right next to Eddie, making little soft impressed noises at Gandalf’s fireworks, flashing quick smiles his way when he offers him the tub of greasy popcorn.
He's not going to be able to remember any of the movie, he’ll just remember this: the white-hot screaming bliss of sitting next to the love of his fucking life, and not knowing if it’s cool to try and hold his hand or not.

Summary
“I called your mom, by the way,” he says. “Told her I was picking you up.”
“Are you taking me back?” Dustin asks, nervously. He didn’t really consider that calling Steve to pick him up might involve Steve dropping him off back to Hawkins. He really doesn’t want to be there right now, he feels too much, everything is too much, too big, the future looming over him feels too intimidating.
“Not yet,” Steve says, and Dustin lets out a relieved breath. “I told her we can put you up for the night and then tomorrow we can figure out what to do, yeah?”
Dustin looks at him, the kind slope of his mouth, the worried lines on his forehead. He suddenly feels bad for upending Steve’s life like this. Surely he had plans for the day, maybe work or school, something he had to do that now has been interrupted by needing to save Dustin, again, but from himself rather than from alternate dimension monsters.
“Sorry, Steve.”

It's senior year, and Dustin is having a hard time coping with everything. He runs away to Indianapolis in search of the comfort only his two best friends can give him, not knowing what he'll find when he gets to the other side.

Well, shit.
One foot looked normal, while the other was purply-pink and slightly see-through. It was the right shape, and it moved with him as he thought about curling the toes and then flexing them, but he could clearly see through it, too. As he looked at it, it filled in and became as solid-looking as his other foot.
Okay. So that was new.
---Steve is turned into something a little weird in the Upside Down, saves Eddie's life, falls in love, and then fucks him. All while dealing with being whatever the hell he's turned into.
Written for the Stranger Things Monsterfucking May Challenge. For something that should be a pwp, it has a surprising amount of plot, romance, and world-building.

Summary
“No, no.” Eddie interrupts, shifting a little to the left as Steve joins him on the bed. He wouldn’t normally, content to press as much of himself against Steve’s side as possible, but tonight is different. Tonight Steve might want the space. “It wasn’t about you. It was… It was about her. About her and… Girls. How she feels about them. And not about guys?”
He feels dumb. In both ways. Like his mouth and his brain have been filled with cotton and it’s left him stumbling over his words in a nigh incoherent babble. He sucks in a stuttered breath - like that’ll help - and continues.
“She said, um… She said you knew? That she’d told you about it?”
“Yeah,” Steve agrees softly, before something seems to occur to him and he frowns a little as he glances at Eddie. “Why? D’you have a problem with it?”
Eddie’s shocked into silence for a second.
