Summary
Sirius Black did not think that reintegrating into society after being cleared of all charges would be overly difficult, regardless of what Remus thought, until Professor McGonagall blindsided him with a request to accept the Defense Against the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts. On the bright side, he gets to see Harry on a regular basis and doesn't have to live in Grimmauld Place. On the other hand, he has to deal with one of his colleagues being his former fiancée, an overabundance of teenagers, and an American spy with a death wish who inexplicably decided he was the most reliable person in the Order of the Phoenix.

Surviving the horrors of Raccoon City's last days would mess up anyone. Objectively, Leon knows this. But he's doing fine, really. It's great that Claire is talking to someone about it all, it's great that therapy is working for her, but as far as Leon's concerned, he doesn't need anything like that.

New Year’s Resolution: Don’t make it weird.
Reality: Locked eyes with Claire Redfield across the party, flirted with an intern, nearly blacked out from jealousy, and confessed my feelings like an idiot with a countdown behind me and the Porsche idling out front.
Bonus points: Hunnigan knows too much, Ashley sent receipts, and Claire kissed me anyway. God help me, I think I’m in love. Again.Leon’s internal monologue is still 90% red flags, 10% ‘she’s so pretty’ — written like a horny panic attack in real time. Happy New Year, I guess.
