As if Steve Rogers doesn't have enough problems, some seriously bad decision-making leads to Bucky finding him half dead and covered in blood in an alley way. Like always, Bucky patches him up, but there's something decidedly different about Steve. For one thing his heart, which had never beat quite right in the first place, now it doesn't appear to be beating at all....But since when has he ever let anything hold him back?

When his sister and parents make alternative plans for Christmas, Bucky decides to spend a few days at a ski lodge in the Berkshires instead of staying home in Brooklyn alone. A chance meeting with a gorgeous stranger, canceled flights, and a blizzard shouldn’t necessarily be the perfect ingredients for a wonderful holiday, but maybe Christmas is a little magic this year. Or maybe it’s just spending time with Steve in the fresh mountain air that makes Bucky feel like he’s floating on a cloud.
