Seungmin presented as an omega alone, behind the sterile walls of a company clinic.
That was both the beginning and the end of it.
Officially, he’s a beta: level, reliable, scentless. It’s easier that way. Cleaner. The image fits, the pills do their job, and no one asks questions.
But instincts don't stay buried forever.
The others are bonded, mated, wrapped in scents and closeness. And Seungmin watches from the edges, swallowing the ache of a body that was never taught how to ask.

There was what seemed to be a small journal tucked between the couch cushions. He set his glass down and wandered over to the book.
He picked it up, turning it over curiously. It wasn't one of his. It looked worn. Well-loved. With pages slightly wavy and discolored from age and continuous use.
He opened it up to a random page and his breath caught at the first line.
"Reason number 143 & 144 why I love Han Jisung: His muscles (again) and tattoos."
What is this?

Hyunjin nods with a hum and focuses back on his sketch, wrist moving diligently.
“Well anyways, Changbin does bottom. Not that I’ve ever seen it, but I definitely know he does,” He says casually with a shrug, slowly dragging his pencil down his paper.
“With who?” Seungmin tries not to seem too eager at the confirmation but the way he pushes himself up on his knees and leans over the edge of the bed says otherwise. Hyunjin smirks at him knowingly.
“Minho-hyung and Channie-hyung,” Hyunjin tells him. “I think those two are the only ones that he’s ever bottomed for. As far as I know.”
And as Seungmin sits there, watching Hyunjin draw, a plan begins to form in his mind.
Or: Seungmin gets curious about Changbin bottoming and after he finds out that he does from Hyunjin, he gets determined to watch one of his boyfriends--specifically Minho--topping him. It turns out to be the best decision he's ever made.

Summary
Seungmin feels that feeling again, leashed yes, but pulling at its tether until the cord draws taut inside his bones. Knows the word that accompanies the feeling and lets his eyes fall away from Chan's form in shame. Yearning. That's the word. Yearning for something he shouldn't be. His heart crumples a bit in his chest before returning to a steady beat. Chan's hand may still be warm in his, but the cold mountain air drifting through the window seeps into his core and suddenly he finds it hard to differentiate. The cold and the longing feel just the same.
Or: A long-awaited group vacation puts hybrids Chan and Seungmin in even closer proximity than their typical schedules allow. With time free from any distractions, Seungmin finds that ignoring his ever-present yearning for his wolf hybrid leader is hard. Harder still when Seungmin starts to worry that, despite his own longing for something more, Chan's wolf instincts only see him as something to claim.
