My fingers came up and gently trailed along the black marker marring my skin. My eyes lowered. It wasn’t the large, black, boldly displayed letters that spelled out the word WHORE across my chest that had me truly crippled with fear in that moment, but the letters printed beneath them, below my belly, across my lower abdomen… large, menacing... a word with more far reaching implications than the simple derogatory insult someone who would drug and rape a woman might throw at them. No, this was far more unsettling, far more frightening. Drawn across my lower bellow, just above the neatly groomed curls nestled between my legs, written in black maker, in capital letters, was the word MINE.

Summary
Slender, gloved fingers slid along your jaw and cupped your mouth, and familiar folds of cloth brushed the side of your face. The scent of worn leather filled your flaring nostrils as you took sharp, harsh breaths in through your nose. Your throat tightened and you tried to jerk your head to the side, but the grip over your lips was ironclad. You stepped back but found yourself locked in place against an immovable, solid wall of muscle.
“Caught you, little rabbit,” König’s smug voice rasped just behind your ear, sending goosebumps cascading down your body.
Your survival instincts raged, and you twisted wildly until you heard a faint click, and stilled when cold steel was placed on the side of your neck. Your hands rose hesitantly to move it away, but the blade pressed down, a warning against your delicate skin.
“Shh,” he shushed, the sound mocking. “They say that dangerous creatures stalk these woods at night, hunting for sweet things…just like you. It is a good thing I found you, first, hm?”

A dark, hooded figure emerged from the dense snowstorm, growing far too tall as it approached. You shuffled back weakly in the bloodstained snow and winced as you jostled the trap clamped on your boot.
“What is this?” the man’s voice rumbled, muffled behind his mask. “You are…not what I expected to catch today.” He crouched and cupped your cheek reverently, as if you were a tiny creature whose delicate bones would snap at a too-rough touch.
You flinched at first — but he was warm, so warm.
“You are very far from home, aren’t you, Kleines Häschen?” he mused, honeyed words drawn out slowly as you relaxed into his palm. “Come, let me tend to your wound. Rest by my fire, just for a little while.”
The man scooped you up from the snow, unresisting. Sleep whispered sweet temptation as you were cradled to his chest, lulled by the blood loss and his steady steps. You gave in to the beckoning darkness, and allowed your heavy lids to close, like he said—
just for a little while.

You would’ve moved houses already, changed your name and closed your social media accounts, quit everything if your stalker was small and ugly and weak.
But now that you know he’s relatively good-looking, does something dangerous and has a lot of money, and looks like he could fuck and fight half the city by himself, you’re not in that much of a hurry to go to the authorities.
