Sakura is ten when she comes home for the first time —her father wrapped in a blanket and a hollowness in her chest— and the trees rejoice with her happiness. And burn with her anger. And wail with her despair. And beg her to reach out and satiate her hunger.

She always heard the whispers of them, among the forests, with her team, when she's alone. Especially when she's alone. She would always listen, and try to call back, but it would never work.
Until now. The trees had never listened to her before, but this time she begged and pushed. This time, both her and the trees listened and heard each other and worked in tandem.
Or, Haruno Sakura hated how useless she was while Sasuke and Naruto fought the Kiri-chunin. So she decides to use Mokuton to pin them to the trees. This has consequences.

Summary
See, being raised civilian and deciding to become a kunoichi was a tricky situation in many aspects but the top three, for Sakura, were:
1. Having no proper knowledge of chakra;
2. No previous training or fitness regime;
Lastly, and the one that eventually caused all her problems,
3. Sakura had no idea about proper shinobi etiquette. She hadn’t known that clans with hidden techniques guarded their secrets as tightly as any other with a bloodline limit. She had no clue that recreating one of their jutsus would be considered disrespectful and treasonous.OR
That time Sakura reverse-engineered the Kagemane-no-Jutsu to impress her friend but ended up exiled as a traitor instead.
