Summary
Phainon's skin has turned ashen, much like the dull grey of a weathered marble statue. Fractures split across his face, unusual cracks spidering outwards like shattered porcelain. An otherworldly, galactic glow bleeds through the fissures beneath the wounds, spilling most vividly along his cheek and his left eye, and the largest wound near his head burns a violet fire that flickers and pulses dimly.
“Deliverer,” Mydei says carefully, but Phainon flinches as if Mydei had just said something vile to him instead. “This is what you meant by waiting until it goes back to normal?”
An unexpected mishap reverts Phainon's form into that of the Flame Reaver. It's Mydei's job to show the prisoner of flames that he is still very much loved.

“Just like that,” Mydei breathes, rich and husky.
It’s a murmur delivered so irreligiously low it feels wrong to hear.
Phainon's brain blanks entirely. It wasn’t even the line itself—which was standard script stuff, just a mere three words strung together—but it was just the way he said it. Slow, syrupy amusement with a mercilessly sinful undertone. Fuck.
How the hell was he supposed to survive the next sixty-something minutes?
In which Phainon lands a gig with his longtime favorite voice actor; he immediately discovers that he is, in fact, not immune to Mydei's dangerously seductive vocal range.

Summary
“Castrum Kremnos will never bow to you,” Mydei snarls, and he spits on the laden feast table below in open defiance.
The Good Prince only laughs - a sound as light and beautiful as dawn’s soft breaking on the sea.
“I do not want Castrum Kremnos to bow to me, Princess. I want you to bow to me.” A hand in his hair arches Mydei's back and forces him to face their audience. “And you will.”
alternatively: The Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos is taken as a spoil of war by the conquering Kingdom of Elysiae.
The Good Prince is a man as patient as he is terrifying; and Mydei fears, with each passing day of captivity, that no-one would be strong enough to weather this endless cruelty, and escape with their body and mind intact.
He certainly isn't.

Summary
In Mydei's defense, he was trying to listen. The splashing of the bathwater as Phainon moved was just very loud, and he felt the resulting ripples against his skin like crashing waves. His thighs twitched. The empty amphora by his elbow was looking more and more tempting... but his pride wouldn't allow it, even if he'd still been alone. With Phainon here it was utterly out of the question.

Mydei has a well overdue day to himself. At least until Phainon arrives with unfortunate timing, a string of half-truths and an expensive drink.
