Sonic is mourning the loss of a foe- Shadow. An ebony hedgehog that mirrored Sonic in more ways than he'd like to admit, a creature who was the embodiment of who the blue blur would've become if it weren't for the family he found on earth. All he wants to do is see home one last time. To soothe the aching feeling of losing a piece of his soul. And that he does when he spots him in an all too familiar place.

Oh, how sweet and naïve you were.
That spark was crushed and stomped into a capitalist-shaped curb until what was left was a perfect little cog to fit into a machine. You work at a grocery store, the customer service industry a cruelty that destroyed all your hope for humanity. Years of misuse, abuse from customers and staff alike colding your once warm, beating heart. You took the brunt of whatever crap corporate wanted dealt with, cleaned up whatever mess your incompetent co-workers left behind; be it calling out "sick" last minute to doing stock take incorrectly. It all fell onto you, the managers far too busy to help their struggling supervisor.
You were crushed, utterly and completely, it was only a matter of time until you gave out.

It's painfully clear they share a deep-seated affection that neither is brave enough to acknowledge. With Sonic’s bold, adventurous spirit often clashing with Shadow’s brooding, intense demeanor, the tension between the two is obvious and confusing.
Determined to help these two lovebirds confront their emotions, Amy and Rouge come up with a clever plan involving subtle nudges and playful antics that will lead Sonic and Shadow to confront their feelings. As they dive deep into the complexities of love, this plan inadvertently assists Rouge with her own romantic issues involving a certain echidna warrior. While helping Amy realize she, too, must grapple with her complicated feelings surrounding Metal Sonic.
All while hoping their interference brings Sonic and Shadow closer, without inadvertently setting off a chain reaction that could unravel their fragile relationships threads.
