Summary
“Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!”
“Stand aside, you silly girl… stand aside, now”.
And Lily Potter stepped aside.
Voldemort stared at her.
“... Is this some sort of trick?” he asked softly.
“No". Her voice was flat, lifeless. “You already killed James... If you let me live, then you can have Harry”.
Voldemort’s lip curled - not in amusement, but disgust. His own mother had died for him. Pathetic, yes, sentimental and foolish - but she had chosen to die so that he could live. Lily Potter wasn’t even choosing to care. Surely the child of prophecy deserved a better mother than this! Even he could give the boy to a better family to be raised right!
Voldemort slowly reached down and picked up the child.
He was still staring at him. He was still oddly silent. His eyes were still the colour of the Killing curse and brimming with power.
Yes, Voldemort decided, that was exactly what he’d do.
"You belong to me now" he whispered.
And with a crack like thunder, he turned on the spot, vanishing into the night.Or, the one where Harry Potter is raised by the Lestranges and it goes more or less how you would expect.

Summary
“I waited for hours. It’s a dumb choice to keep a prince waiting…” He grabbed Duncan firmly, now face to face, without the armor the warmth passed through the light fabric. Blue eyes met purple ones in the darkness, a desire as strong as the fire swaying in the hearth. “And you know how I hate waiting.”
“I already apologized,” Duncan finally said, his voice low but laden with something Aerion already knew well.
As if a spark had fallen into wildfire, heat filled the chamber. In one pull, Duncan tangled himself with Aerion, fingers curling into his silver strands and lips pressed together, moving with a shared hunger.
(Or, Aerion stays up late waiting for one of his daily visits.)

Summary
Duncan the Tall had been pardoned in the eyes of Gods and men. He had expected to return back to the roads, to leave the violet eyes of Targaryens behind, and to live the rest of his ignoble life in search of coin and service.
Instead, a bloodied and beaten Aerion Targaryen stood in his way and refused to be moved.
“Marry me,” he said, and Duncan could see that the pearly whites of his teeth had turned red. “Marry me, Ser Duncan, or risk insulting a dragon twice.”
Duncan had turned pale with shock then red with rage. It hadn’t mattered in the end because one did not insult a dragon twice.
“If it pleases you, my Prince,” Duncan had said smiling. It was hardly pleasant.
I’m going to make you wish you were dead.

Summary
Aerion had stopped at the castle’s entrance, leering his head over his shoulder. His eyes were aflame with something Duncan could not place. And then from his lips, a sound came, like cinders spitting. A laugh.
“You really have no shame,” he said. “Say please, beast, and I’ll consider.”
After having fought with Prince Aerion in the puppet tent, Duncan is brought before the council to be judged. Though, instead of a trial by combat, or death by hanging, he is made a knight of the Kingsguard - to keep Aerion in his place, and to perhaps even make a friend of him.
