Summary
“I was the worst of the gods,” he says, dropping all pretenses as he sings of his failures to the myrmekes. Because I loved too much. Because I felt guilty. Because I kept trying to do more. Because I kept changing my mind.
These are unforgivable sins for a god. That’s what Apollo and all of his divine siblings have been taught. That’s what they’ve all, in time, learned to believe. Good people don’t survive on Olympus.
And Apollo is, above all, a survivor.
So Apollo doesn’t want to believe he’s a good person.
This is incredibly uncharacteristic of me, he makes sure to specify every time he does something kind, every time he finds himself unable to hide his shame or guilt or doubt, to hide how much he cares, well past the point where we start realizing that it is, in fact, perfectly characteristic of him.

Tear off all his masks, take away all his disguises, and there he is. The real Apollo. He is the literal personification of sunshine. We finally see it too, in a thousand ways, big and small. The way he cares. The way he sees everyone, even and especially those who are overlooked. The joy it gives him to just be able to help, to make people happy. How encouraging he is. How proud of everyone. He can’t stop telling them how talented and wonderful they are. He’s determined to do everything in his power to propel them forward, to give them the boost they need to reach greatness. He’s living up to his most famous epithet, a bright light to illuminate his friends, to keep them warm, burning hot enough to scorch anyone who’d dare try snuff it out and plunge the world around them into darkness again.

Summary
Artemis and Apollo have completely opposite personalities. They both, at their core, have the same kindness, the same compassion, the same sense of justice. But where Apollo is effusive and extroverted, Artemis is extremely restrained with her emotions.
Like most siblings, her and Apollo don’t seem to have a habit of talking about their feelings for each other very much. Nevertheless, Apollo makes it clear that he likes spending time with her. That he likes HER. Artemis doesn’t do the same.

After Alucard's betrayal by Taka and Sumi, he's determined to isolate himself in the castle, driving away any who might seek him out. When Sypha and Trevor reappear on his doorstop, however, haunted by their own troubles, he agrees to let them stay. Together, the three of them might be able to heal one another's emotional wounds--if they can convince Alucard he deserves it.
