However, it was the coldest week of the year in London, and she was trapped in her flat with only the Skull and her own misery for company, so she decided a bit of resentment was warranted.
“You’re looking pretty pathetic, even for you, Lucy.”
She made a noise of acknowledgement in the Skull’s direction.
“I don’t even remember what it’s like to have a body, and I can tell this is bad.”
She grunted again. He kept yammering on.
