Summary
For a blinding, beautiful moment, Kevin's hands grasp tightly to his waist. Time flashes back to those nights at Eden's, to the times that Aaron can admit now he watched Kevin dance, wondered what it would be like to dance with him, rather than just next to him. Body on body, the court and his classes and his brother far away. It would have been perfect. It would have fucked everything up. Andrew had almost killed Katelyn, and she'd been a stranger to him. Andrew would not have tolerated the betrayal from Kevin. But god, it would have been good to have this, then. There's an ache in his chest for his past self, for the envy he remembers eating him alive whenever he watched Kevin and Andrew together without knowing what it was.
He deserved some of that intensity, that devotion.
He still does, he thinks.
Aaron should be used to second place. He thinks he probably deserves something nice, for once, and he'd always liked Kevin more than he should have.

Summary
So he's drunk again. Obnoxiously, sloppily drunk to the point where his eyes feel unattached from the rest of his body, vision swimming as he stumbles out into the alleyway behind the bar that's lit only by a single, grimy bulb that illuminates the man standing there. The door crashes against the brick wall—Seth is far too gone to catch it as it swings—and the man looks up. Seth's breath catches in his throat and he can feel his lips part, heart hammering in his chest.
The man is gorgeous. Seth isn't gay.
Self-destructing is nothing new to Seth, but this time, he's got someone along for the ride.

Summary
No one's ever described Nicky Hemmick as a subtle man, and Seth's fists clench tighter the longer he feels those sharp eyes trace the contours of his body where he sits hunched over his drink in its shitty plastic cup. Whiskey sours on his tongue as he swallows another mouthful, and he wonders if maybe this next one will be enough to numb him to the feeling of lightning crackling over his skin, the remembered sensation of shame chased by heady euphoria. Something like disgust tightens his jaw, an itch in his teeth that ache for a fight, for blood, for something to distract him from the fact that Nicky is staring at him like he wants to eat him alive and wouldn't care who watches.
Seth just wants to get drunk at Fox Tower's end-of-season rager, but Nicky's on a mission.

They park, and Jean clenches his hands around the wheel. Neither alpha moves to get out of the car, and Jean speaks.
"You will listen to what the Master and Riko ask of you. You will not talk back, you will play the position assigned to you, and you will do it well. You will not—" he risks a glance over at Nathaniel, quickly cuts his eyes forward again when he sees blue eyes shining back at him, "You will not cause any problems. Any failure on your part will be construed as a failure on mine. We are," he forces the sentence out through clenched teeth, "partners."
Jean's time in the nest has been punctuated by various tragedies: his presenting as an alpha, Riko's own presentation, Kevin's and Nathaniel's departure. He'd thought that Nathaniel leaving was the worst that could happen--that is, until he returns for Christmas break.

Andrew concludes that the fear plain on the hybrid's face is the realest emotion he'd expressed thus far, and the most intelligent, but before that thought can continue, Neil opens his mouth.
"I'm not a pet," Neil snaps at Andrew, ears flat against his curly black hair, "And I'm not interested in being domesticated. You've already got one striker on your leash," Neil indicates Kevin, who sputters out an indignant noise from where he's sitting on the entertainment center, dramatic pose ruined, "I have no desire to be your second."
Neil Josten is more than just PSU's newest prospective striker sub, he's also a fox hybrid, making him officially more trouble than Andrew cares to handle. Unfortunately, Kevin's never listened to Andrew, and Neil gets recruited anyways.

Summary
Of course, that was when he still lived in Nebraska. When entertainment meant self-sacrifice of some capacity. Since coming to Pittsburgh (and developing his frontal lobe), he's had arguably fewer moments of stupidity, but this — letting a near stranger lead him into a dark alleyway — has to be up there. On par, at least, with the hog pit.
The stranger, Robby, is handsome. Exactly Dennis's type. On the right end of fifty, bearded, and with eyes the color of Chattanooga Whiskey — the same kind Dennis's father used to favor before his liver decided it preferred failure.
Robby and Jack kidnap Dennis and decide to have fun.

Summary
It started as just a regular shift. Yes, Dennis felt a bit queasy by lunch, but that wasn't unusual. Sometimes he was starving and ravenous two hours after getting to the hospital, and sometimes he got to the end of his shift and realized he'd forgotten to eat anything and his hands were a little shaky. It was part of his job during this rotation to figure out how to keep himself in fighting shape despite the hectic pace of things and he was working on it. It was a work in progress.
With about ninety minutes left before he could go home, Dennis found himself vomiting in the middle of a hallway.

Robby and Jack are an established couple, Dennis is the resident they've been flirting with without anyone putting their cards on the table. Set between S1 and S2. Dennis is an alpha, Robby is a beta, Jack is an omega.
