“You’re not going to help me?” Rover asks, head tilting. “You can’t give me a hint?”
“Where’s the fun in that?” Scar replies with a wave of his hand.
“I can make it fun,” Rover offers, taking another step closer, head tilting back to meet Scar’s eyes. The Fractsidus member lifts an eyebrow, almost seeming taken off guard, before a slow smirk crosses his face.
“Oh? And how are you going to do that, little songbird?” Scar lifts a hand, presses a finger beneath Rover’s chin to keep him looking up, the nickname sending another shiver down Rover’s spine, a faint echo of familiarity.
“There’s a lot of ways,” Rover replies, a small smile crossing his lips. “Why don’t I let you choose?”
