Summary
I fell in love with someone who I thought I would have spent forever with and this was how it ended. I had to put my grief somewhere because it was eating me alive. I thought that after this initial break up that we could have continued being friends because of how important of a person she was turned out to be to me but turns out that homophobia always wins in the end.
I thought about turning this into a series, this little chapter was supposed to be a prologue into something bigger but now that she's completely out of my life, I don't think I can do this. this was going to be my little spot where I could be hopeful of her returning to me, but thats not going to happen and my hope died.
sorry but this is just sad.

Summary
None of this was ever supposed to happen. Samira was supposed to be dedicated to her studies, not getting distracted by having feelings for someone she was never supposed to have feelings for. Emery was never supposed to happen.
Everything with Emery was supposed to just be some summer fling, something thrilling and fun while the campus was a ghost town and her thesis advisor was away for a couple of months. Dragging herself out of the warmth of Emery’s bed and flinching when her feet hit the cold floor while the first weak rays of winter light peeked in through the blinds wasn’t part of the plan.

Al-Hashimi shakes her head as she huffs out a soft laugh. “So what gave me away?” Her eyes travel across Santos’s face, her lips curling at the persistent flush of pink there, whether from the alcohol, or the attention, or both.
Santos purses her lips into a small smile. “You touch my lower back a lot.” She meets Al-Hashimi’s gaze and holds it intently. “When you walk by me.”
“Oh, come on.” She throws her hand in the air. “I do that with everyone.”
“Princess told me that she caught you staring at my ass.” She puts up three fingers. “Three times.”
“Oh my god.” Al-Hashimi leans her forehead into her hand as she shuts her eyes. “Please don’t tell me that’s spread throughout the ED.”

Trinity pushes herself out of Yolanda’s hold, and her gaze slides to meet Yolanda’s before quickly moving to her own hands in her lap. She takes a deep breath. “I need to know that you’ll believe me. This time. It’s hard for me to trust it’ll be different.” Garcia’s confusion flashes across her face, and remains long enough for Trinity to catch it when she glances back at her. She barrels on before she can lose her pluck. “When I went to you about Langdon.” Garcia’s face drops at the pain strewn across Trinity’s face. “You didn’t believe me. You told me I was trouble. I didn’t fully explain to you why that hurt so much.”

Summary
Garcia knows Santos has been struggling with her second year of residency, the workload never letting up even months into it; and she’s all too aware of the tension with which Santos’s been carrying her body these past few months. As much as Garcia has been insisting that she take care of herself lest she risk burnout, Santos has quite the stubborn streak: it’s clear that she’s been running on fumes this past week, her body essentially comatose right now beside her. She regards Santos’s sleeping figure and resolves to wrest as much rest out of the following days as Santos will allow her to—and there’s no doubt she’ll be met with protest, albeit futile, at every effort.
Santos is a dense ball of tension as is, but Garcia wants to tease out any remaining coils of it that linger underneath, delicately working at them, dredging them up until she can eradicate the tension entirely.
