Mike clears his throat. “I mean, Lucas and Joshua are both of similar physique, and- I mean they don’t look that alike but also they share many similarities.”

“Mike,” Will pauses, “are you asking me if Lucas is my type because he is black?” The rest of the party stop their chatter to focus on them, Max looking widely amused.
“Jesus, Will. No! Yes? I don’t know. I’m just saying if your type is people that look like him then it’s kind of shallow- not shallow- restrictive. There’s many other physiques out there. And yeah, Lucas has beautiful glistening skin, broad shoulders, big muscles and a deep voice. And he is athletic with nice hair-”“Kinda sounds to me like he is actually your type.” Max grins.
“Thanks, bro. I appreciate it.”

Mike has come to believe that Lucas is Will's type. (He is not.) Mike now thinks the best way to handle to situation is to either be more like Lucas or to change Will's type. Except he is stupid and everyone is tired of him.

Mike blinked. "What?"
"Oh yeah! We always end up talking about this stuff without you." Dustin said, rolling onto his side. "Lucas talked about Max. I've been monologuing about Stacy for over a month, which in retrospect was a waste of everyone's time-"
"Tremendous waste." Mike agreed. "Historic, really."
"-and you've got something going on now." He shrugged. "It's your turn."
Mike looked at Lucas, who raised his eyebrows in a quiet yeah, what he said.
He looked back at Dustin. "You want me…to talk to you about having sex with Will?"
In which Dustin is a shit head and Mike ends up oversharing about his sex life.
