Summary
Everyone in the world has a step-counter that counts down the steps until they meet their soulmate.
For years, Ivor believed he would never find the certain someone his own step-counter would count towards -- and he'd grown fine with that. He was content enough seeing the people he'd grown to care for grow closer with their own partners, their step-counters already having counted down completely.
That was, until he and his team ended up in another dimension. That was, until in that very dimension, his step-counter began to reach its end.

Silco knows well the value of first impressions. So when his adopted redhead daughter eagerly wants to go on a playdate with her newest best friend from the upper city (the daughter of another Councilor, no less!) he knows it's imperative he shows up looking his best.
Which is why it makes it awkward when, after realizing half of his wardrobe is still in the wash, he has to make do with what he's still got.
