    Skylar’s watched Dirk and Harper bicker for longer than she could remember. As one of the only objects that knows the nitty gritty details of their pasts, she can’t help but feel something like anger at their insistence on staying together. Especially, Harper’s.
    Skylar’s helpless until she isn’t, Dirk walks out with the human following behind him like a puppy and Harper’s left crumbled on the floor, once again alone to pick up the pieces of her heart.
    Skylar walks in before she can even register what she’s doing, her growing feelings for Harper means she’s spinning wildly out of her professionality anyway.
