This shouldn’t have happened.
This never should’ve happened. Noelle shouldn’t have been forced to kill an entire city’s worth of Darkners. She shouldn’t have been forced to cast a spell that froze Berdly solid into a thick crystal of ice. Berdly shouldn’t be lying here lifelessly.
They can do something about at least one of these things. They need to get him to the hospital.

In the aftermath of Snowgrave, Kris rips out the SOUL lodged inside them and leaves through the window to try and fix at least some things. This includes shambling across the town to get Berdly, still-unconscious in the computer lab, somewhere safe.
Kris's terrible awful no-good very bad night; set in Chapter 2 but written with the insight obtained in Chapter 4 of Kris being the one to bring Berdly to the hospital.
