    Somehow, that’s the thing that makes everything inside him come to a screeching halt.
    He had hoped, some desperate and hopeful part of him, that maybe it would be okay. Maybe he would be fine, and they could go home and leave it all in the past. He was just getting checked up at the hospital. He was fine.
    The sight of Cyno, hunched over, retching horribly as he cried, finally crushes the hope left in Alhaitham’s chest.

    At the end of the day, Alhaitham has always been at Kaveh's side, to weather each storm.
